Accreditation


Continuing Professional Development (“CPD”) / Continuing Legal Education (“CLE”)

Attendees from the jurisdictions listed below may obtain CPD / CLE accreditation. The required documents and any other requirements to claim CPD / CLE credits are as follow.

*: Need to obtain a certificate of attendance from IPBA staff in front of each session room.

**: Need to sign the attendance list

 Notes:

   Australia (New South Wales): If the Conference is relevant to your immediate or long term needs in relation to your professional development and practice of the law, then you may claim one unit for each hour of attendance at the Conference, refreshment breaks not included.

   Australia (Victoria): If the Conference is relevant to your immediate or long term needs in relation to your professional development and practice of the law, then you may claim one unit for each hour of attendance at the Conference, refreshment breaks not included.

   **England and Wales (BSB): The Conference has been accredited with 17 CPD hours in total by Bar Standards Board.

   **England and Wales(SRA): IPBA is registered as a temporary accredited provider with the Solicitors Regulations Authority and delegates from this jurisdiction may claim CPD credits. Delegates from this jurisdiction should fill out a questionnaire distributed in front of each session room and submit it to IPBA staff.

   *France (Paris): IPBA is registered as a foreign accredited provider with the Paris Bar Association and delegates from this jurisdiction may claim CPD credits.


   Hong Kong: The Conference has been accredited for CPD by the Law Society of Hong Kong. Delegates from this jurisdiction should fill an evaluation form distributed in front of each session room and submit it to IPBA staff.

   **Japan (Osaka): Certain sessions of the Conference have been accredited for CPD by the Osaka Bar Association. Title of each session accredited for Osaka will be posted on the Message Board beside the Registration Desk.

   Japan (Tokyo): IPBA is registered as a foreign accredited provider with the Daini Tokyo Bar Association and delegates from this jurisdiction may claim CLE credits for attendance at the Conference.

   *Korea: The Conference has been accredited with 14 CLE hours in total by the Korean Bar Association.

   *United States (California): As the Conference has been accredited for CPD by the Law Society of Hong Kong, delegates can claim “Approved Jurisdiction” MCLE credit according to the rules of the State Bar of California.

   *United States (New York): As the Conference has been accredited for CPD by the Law Society of Hong Kong, New York’s Approved Jurisdiction policy of CLE applies.

Information for Speakers
Presentation Guidelines
- Please prepare your data in Microsoft Power Point format and please preview your presentation data at the PC Center (Room 103) 30 minutes prior to your session.
- Remote presentation system is available in each session room. There will be a TFT monitor, mouse and keyboard on the podium to operate the presentation.

PC Center
The PC center is located at Room 103, and is available only for the speakers to prepare for their sessions.

- Should speakers wish to update the data for presentation in the last minute, bring the data to the PC center in either USB flash memory or CD-R.
- Windows is the only operating system available for the presentations.
(If you have prepared the presentation data on a Macintosh, you are advised to bring your own computer.)
- If your presentation data is linked to other files, those linked files should also be saved in the same folder, and checked for operability beforehand.
- If your presentation data has audio/movie image, please bring your own computer for presentation.

If you use your own computer in the session room for your presentation:
- The secretariat will prepare a Mini D-sub 15 pin PC cable connector. If your computer is not compatible with this cable connector, please bring an adaptor to connect your computer to the Mini D-sub 15 pin PC cable connector.
- Please bring your AC adopter with you.
- After checking your data at the PC Center, please bring your computer to the operations desk at the session room 30 minutes prior to the start time of your session.
- Following the conclusion of your session, we will return your computer at the operations desk. Please come to the operations desk promptly to collect it.
